We're not chasing the twelve-course tasting menu or the restaurant that needs booking three months out. What gets us is the place with mismatched chairs and a cook who's been at it for thirty years. The charming spot your friend mentions once and you spend years trying to track down. That's what we write about here, and we keep it positive: if we didn't think it was worth your time, you won't read about it.
Camille does most of the writing. She also cooks seriously at home, so when something turns out particularly well, she writes that up too. Markus eats everything she puts in front of him and photographs it before it gets cold. Between the two of us, very little goes undocumented.
